Tours - Mayan misteries at Cobá

Dive into the fascinating Mayan World with a visit to Cobá. This city has remained buried under the thick vegetation of the Yucatán Jungle until the late 1970’s. Known as the capital, it was the center of a dense network of Sac-bes (Mayan roads) that made it the military and commercial power house of the North-Eastern Yucatán Peninsula.
Begin your day with a guided visit to the fascinating ruin of Cobá. Then take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear waters of a magnificent Cenote. After, we will enjoy the hospitality of a Mayan family as they invite us into their home for an authentic lunch. After being shown the art of how to make tortillas by hand, we will enjoy a delicious meal of Pollo Pibil (Yucatecan style chicken, wrapped in banana leaves) served with rice and beans.

If you like to bring some scholar equipment, toys or candies, you are of course absolutely welcome. But please note that all our gifts will be given to the Mama upon our arrival, just to be sure that our visit not affect the family structure: she will know when and why she may reward the Bambinos!

We will then drive back to your hotel, arriving at mid-afternoon, after a calm journey through the Mayan world.
