Merci Eric!!

Want a great, information packed sightseeing trip? Then contact Eric at Ecab. Eric who is originally from France has been living in the area for 20+ years and thoroughly enjoys what he is doing.

Don't expect a large cushy travel bus - just a small van with a driver and Eric educating you as you see Mexican sites.

The value is excellent and the trips are fun!

We went with Eric to Chichen Itza last week, 2/18. It was a very well organized and informative trip. Eric shared his extensive knowledge of the area's history with us as we traveled to the ruins. Then he turned us over to a guide at Chichen Itza who was also very knowlegeable, and gave us an extensive tour. After the tour, we went for lunch, to see a cenote, we saw a beautiful church in Uayma, and the municipal building in Valladolid. It was a busy day, but enjoyable and the breaks to "do our own thing" were well spaced. I usually go to Puerto Morelos to lay on the beach and eat out at the many restaurants, but the opportunity to see more of Mexico was one I am happy I took. I am looking forward to booking another tour with Eric when I return to Puerto Morelos next year. And, the price was reasonable for all that we got, the comfortable van and experienced, friendly driver and the informative guides.

If you're looking for small, personal, highly interactive and highly informative tours, THESE ARE THEM!

We took two - Tulum and Coba and both were excellent. Host and owner Eric has made an enormous study of Mayan history and culture and brings to life the colorful past of these amazing people. Special stuff - We saw the ancient knife scars on the still living chicley trees - did you know the biting bugs actually ate the noses and ears off some of the jungle people. Tulum has two special 'windows" used to direct the boats to safety. We picked pods off a tree roadside used way back in the very early days AD for coloring. Great meal on the beach at an out of the tourist stream local restaurant. Our highlight, lunch at an authentic Mayan family "farm" in the outback where we were shown how and then hand formed and cooked a sample tortilla on an open fire with grill plate inside their farm house. On the first tour, driver Carlos happened to let it slip that he sang and played guitar and on request, brought it on this trip and after lunch, much to all of our delights, including the 4 little kids, Carlos entertained us in the wonderful Mexican style.

This is just a snapshot of a very little bit of what we saw and learned on two excellent days. Eric also arranged an inshore fishing trip for us - just another nice touch.
